As valued users of CPS charge points, we want to inform you about the recent updates to enhance your charging experience in line with the UK Government’s Public Charge Point Regulations 2023.

We have been working with Transport Scotland and OZEV to align the display of the tariffs on our website and mobile app.

Key Changes:

  1. Standard Pricing Metric: Starting 24th November 2023, all prices will be displayed in pence per kilowatt-hour (p/kWh) to facilitate easy comparison across networks.

What You Need to Know:

  • No Action Required: As an EV driver, there’s no action needed from you at this point. Our website will update at 12 noon on 24th November 2023, the mobile app to reflect the new pricing format by the end of November 2023.
  • Transparent Pricing: The new pricing format allows you to easily understand charges for the first kWh and subsequent kWh, incorporating any connection fees. Your charging experience and costs will remain unaffected.

What the changes will look like:

The initial kilowatt-hour (kWh) shown in the third column represents the cost for the first kilowatt (including both the per-kilowatt-hour rate and the connection fee). Subsequent kilowatts will be charged at the per-kilowatt-hour rate displayed in the fourth column.

The fifth column shows any minimum fees, indicating the minimum total cost required. If you charge fewer kilowatts than this amount, you will be charged the minimum fee.

Any extra charges are explicitly presented in the sixth column.
