During the on-going COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the safety and welfare of our team is our priority, but we are also taking steps to ensure that we protect our members and suppliers. We want to reassure you that we are monitoring the latest government advice on the appropriate level of action and encourage our customers to do so as well.
We will advise you if, for any reason, we are not able to maintain expected levels of service, but we are continuing to provide 24/7 customer care, either with our office-based team, or with teams who are now working from home, supported by the appropriate professional systems.
The ChargePlace Scotland network remains accessible, and our team remain ready to handle any customer enquiries. We know that many people will be relying on our network to get around on essential journeys during this challenging time.
While we continue to operate our public charging points, they are clearly high-touch surfaces, with which you may come into contact while charging, depending upon the unit. Specifically, our rapid chargers require you to touch either a screen or buttons, as well as the tethered cables and connectors.
We recommend that customers follow government advice when it comes to washing your hands regularly, specifically before and after using any public charging point – not just those on the ChargePlace Scotland network. We recommend the use of hand sanitiser gels when using charging points in more remote locations.
As always, we will continue to communicate with drivers both on our website and via social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter. Alternatively, if you need to contact our helpline directly, you can call us on 0141 648 0750 or email admin@chargeplacescotland.org.
We are doing all that we can to continue to enable your electric journeys during this unprecedented time, and are grateful for your continued support of the ChargePlace Scotland network.
Please note, as some of our hosts have taken the decision to restrict access to their sites, we have created a webpage to inform our members of the effected charge points.
