If you incur an overstay fee while charging your vehicle, this will be added to the invoice for your ChargePlace Scotland account. Any parking fines will be enforced by the charge point host and must be paid directly to them.
The charging tariff for each charge point on the ChargePlace Scotland network is set by the charge point host for each of their sites, therefore the tariff will vary from place to place.
The owner of the charge point (who is sometimes referred to as the charge point host) is responsible for setting the tariffs that apply for using the charge points they own on the ChargePlace Scotland network. Many owners apply these charges to cover energy and maintenance costs. When a paid charging tariff is introduced or changed, ChargePlace Scotland have no role in this matter other than working closely with them to agree how this will be communicated. We will also update our live map to reflect this change and inform our members via social media.
